Protecting Our Educational Institutions in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives’ bipartisan Select Committee on School Safety and Security, of which Rep. Marcy Toepel is a member, met for the first time on April 18 in the Capitol building. House Introduces Bill to Abolish PA Turnpike Commission

On the heels of recent corruption charges brought forward by the state attorney general against several high-ranking Pennsylvania Turnpike officials, Rep. Marcy Toepel recently participated at a Capitol news conference for legislation that would abolish the discredited commission. House Bill 1197 would surrender the Turnpike Commission’s responsibilities into the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Governor Ceremonially Signs “Brad Fox Law”

In remembrance of the late Plymouth Township Police Officer Brad Fox, and in the presence of his family, lawmakers and law enforcement officers, Gov. Tom Corbett ceremonially signed Rep. Marcy Toepel’s (R-Montgomery) legislation, now Act 199 of 2012, which restores a crucial law enforcement tool to remove illegal guns and prosecute straw purchasers.
