– Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) will be hosting an Open House at each of her district offices to give residents an opportunity to meet her and her staff, learn what services the offices offer, and give attendees an opportunity to discuss any state-related issues or concerns they may have.
“I look forward to meeting area residents during the open houses and learning more about what is on their mind in regard to state government,” said Toepel. “We will also have light holiday refreshments to enjoy.”
The open houses will be held on the following dates from noon to 4 p.m.:
• Friday, Dec. 13 – Gilbertsville District Office, 1885 Swamp Pike, Suite 107, in Gilbertsville
• Friday, Dec. 20 – Harleysville District Office, 410 Main St., Suite 200, in Harleysville
Those attending the open houses can also drop off donations of nonperishable foods or personal hygiene products to help area veterans and families in need.
To help families who are struggling this holiday season, Toepel is partnering with a local food bank to collect non-perishable food and toiletries at both district offices.
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 20, and can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In addition, the offices are once again partnering with the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg and JDOG Atlantic to collect needed items for veterans in the community.
Requested items include shampoo, body wash, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, shaving cream/gel, socks, combs and deodorant.
Donation boxes will be available in the two district offices through Dec. 31, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All donated items will benefit Veterans Multi Services Center and Southeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Center.
