Free Workshop on Electric Supplier Choice Slated for April 20, Toepel Reminds Consumers

Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) announced today that she will sponsor an  electric supplier choice workshop for residents in the PECO (Philadelphia Electric and Gas Company) service territory of the 147th Legislative District.


“There are many electric supplier choices available to residents in my district,” Toepel said. “I want them to be as informed as possible regarding those choices. This free workshop is a great opportunity for them to learn which options could be most beneficial.”


This free event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, in the Community Room of the Perkiomen Valley Public Library. The entrance is located on the Church St. side of the library. 


The workshop will include:


·         Details on market choice history.

·         Information on the Smart Ideas program.

·         A question-answer session.

·         Literature about CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulbs, of which a limited amount will be available free of charge.


The Perkiomen Valley Public Library is located at 290 Second St., Schwenksville.

The PECO Energy service territory includes the following townships in the 147th Legislative District: Perkiomen, Skippack, Lower Frederick, Upper Frederick and Upper Salford.
