Toepel to Host Hearing on Workforce Development, Business Regulation, and Job Creation in Montgomery County

Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) and the House Republican Policy Committee will hold a hearing on jobs and workforce development in Montgomery County.  The hearing will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., at the Upper Perkiomen School District Education Center, 2229 E. Buck Road, Pennsburg.

“It is critical that we as legislators seek input from the job creators to guide us in developing policies that help them and not get in the way,” Toepel said.

Among those scheduled to appear are:

- Dr. Karen Stout, College President, Montgomery County Community College.

- Linda Connell from the Open Line.

- Geraldine Fioriglio, president of the Family Caregivers Network Inc.

- Representatives from the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce.

- Tony Jeremias, Haines and Kibblehouse Inc.

“These are the people on the frontline of the battle to connect workers to local employers,” Toepel said.  “As legislators, there is much we can learn from them.”
