Toepel to Host Public Hearing on Montgomery County Casino Legislation
WHAT: Realizing the economic gains Montgomery County could reap from the Valley Forge Resort and Casino, Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) will host a public House Gaming Oversight Committee hearing to discuss her legislation, House Bill 2594, which would redistribute the county share assessment of casino revenue to parks and nonprofit organizations across the county.

Mike Vereb (R-Montgomery), Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) and Kate Harper (R-Montgomery); Mandy Book and Scott Dunkelberger of the Commonwealth Financing Authority; Risa Vetri Ferman, District Attorney of Montgomery County; Montgomery County Commissioners; Abby Newman, executive director of Mission Kids; Beth Sturman, executive director of Laurel House; as well as other local and state lawmakers.
