Toepel to Host Small Games of Chance Informational Seminar on Oct. 29

RED HILL – In an effort to address questions and concerns regarding the Small Games of Chance Act, Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) will host a Small Games of Chance Informational Seminar on Monday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m., at the East Greenville Fire Company, 401 Washington St., in East Greenville.

“While much of the law stayed the same with respect to the different types of games and the application procedure, the law added more accountability requirements. This presentation aims to help us steer our local groups in the right direction in adhering to the letter of the law,” said Toepel.

Officials from the Pennsylvania State Police’s Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, the agency charged with enforcement of the law, will be present to answer questions about enforcement plans and to clear up any misunderstanding about the current law and the new changes to Act 2 of 2012.

This seminar is open to all officers, trustees and committee members charged with complying with the rules and regulations of operating local small games of chance events. Toepel encourages those who plan to attend to RSVP by Oct. 22 at (215) 679-3082.
