Toepel to Host Household Paper Shredding Event on May 13
HARRISBURG – In a partnership with New Hanover Township, Rep. Marcy Toepel (R- Montgomery) is hosting a free paper shredding event for households of the 147th District on Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the New Hanover Township Recreation Center, 2360 Hoffmansville Road, Frederick.

“Now that tax season has passed, many of us have documents that must be disposed of carefully to avoid confidential information ending up in the wrong hands,” Toepel said. “Identity theft affects millions of people each year, but we can protect ourselves by guarding our personal information.”

The event, which will feature an onsite industrial paper shredder, will provide the opportunity to shred up to five packing boxes of materials. The boxes will be returned to residents.

Only paper, not cardboard, will be accepted. Staples and paper clips need not be removed. All shredding takes place onsite, and the event will be held rain or shine.

For more information about the event, please call Toepel’s district office at (610) 323-3299.
