Toepel Will Offer Discount Cards to Veterans on Sept. 8
HARRISBURG – Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) is partnering with Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg and members of the Pennsylvania Department of Veterans Affairs to provide veterans with benefit information and discount cards on Friday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at her office, 1885 Swamp Pike, Suite 107, Gilbertsville.

“Veterans will be able to sign up for the state veterans registry to receive timely emails regarding local, state and national news; program updates; community events; and employment opportunities available specifically for them. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the benefits available to them,” Toepel said.

The Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds will also be processing veterans discount cards, which offer discounts for goods and services from more than 400 participating county merchants. To receive a discount card that day, veterans are asked to bring their original DD 214 and photo identification.

No registration is required. The Veterans Affairs mobile van will be parked in the complex parking area. For questions, please call Toepel’s district office at (610) 323-3299.
