Toepel to Co-Host Public Briefing to Explain
Property Tax Reform Ballot Question

WHAT: Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) will host a public Policy Committee briefing in conjunction with Reps. Michael Corr (R-Montgomery), Tim Hennessey (R-Chester/Montgomery) and Tom Quigley (R-Montgomery) on the Nov. 7 property tax referendum to provide residents with information.

Currently, local governments can exclude up to 50 percent of the median assessed home value from a homeowner’s tax bill. The referendum would allow voters to decide if the maximum homestead exclusion could be increased to 100 percent of primary residences.

WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon.

WHERE: Berean Bible Church, 2675 East High St., Pottstown.
