Toepel to Host Household Paper Shredding Event on May 19
HARLEYSVILLE – In a partnership with Wiggins Shredding, Rep. Marcy Toepel (R- Montgomery) is hosting a free paper shredding event for households of the 147th District on Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lower Salford Township Building parking lot, 379 Main St., Harleysville.

“This is a great opportunity to shred documents with personal information much more quickly than a home shredder allows. The industrial shredder is also better at protecting the information than some home models – don’t take the chance with information that someone could use to steal your identity,” Toepel said.

The event, which will feature an onsite industrial paper shredder, will provide the opportunity to shred up to four packing boxes of materials. The boxes will be returned to residents.

Per Wiggins Shredding, paper will not be accepted from businesses or organizations. Only paper, not cardboard or CDs, will be accepted. Staples and paper clips need not be removed. All shredding takes place onsite, and the event will be held rain or shine.

For more information about the event, please call Toepel’s district office at (610) 323-3299.
