Incentives Doubled for Replacement of Eligible Non-Electric Home Heating Equipment, Toepel Says

Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) wants to make residents aware that incentives have been doubled to upgrade eligible home non-electric residential heating systems.

Rebates of up to $1,000 are now available from the Pennsylvania Home Heating Equipment Rebate Program (PHHERP) for replacing non-electric residential furnaces; hot water heaters; and oil, natural gas, or propane-fired boilers with more efficient Energy Star units.

“Replacing one’s home heating system with a more energy-efficient system can reduce heating bills by up to 50 percent,” Toepel said. “Consumers will now save even more money thanks to incentives being doubled by the PHHERP program.”

Residents can visit Toepel’s website at and choose the “PA Heating Rebate” button or call 877-592-2061 to reserve a rebate or for more information.

Rebates will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will be issued until program funds are depleted.
